Everything is ready to start: the Old Slavic wood-castle came from Russia, from coast of Great river Volga, in November, 2011 and now waits team in the port of Darwin to move clockwise round the Green continent. To the finishing port of Sydney over 3000 nautical miles, on the way the castle "RUSSICH" come into many rivers of Australia and goes up on courses of fresh waters as far as can promote!
There is a set of participants to a nice team of a castle on this route!
Let's remind that in November, 2011 the Old Slavic castle "RUSICh" after crossing of the Indian Ocean, reached Australia and was lifted on a dry mooring in SPOT ON MARINA in the port of Darwin waiting for repair and a further course.
In total from coast of Great river Volga, from start from the city of Tolyatti, the wood-castle passed on the seas and Earth oceans an enormous route more than in 11 000 nautical miles (these are over 20 000 km!).
PLAN of 2012:
1. Navigation round Australia will go clockwise, along "Wonder of the World" - the Great Barrier Reef, and the finish is planned in Sydney.
2. Together with movement at a general course the project On castle RUSSICH on the rivers of Australia-2012 will start. So travelers during this navigation will make the unprecedented: for the first time in history will enter an Old Slavic wooden vessel into internal waters and territories of the Green continent! It is planned to investigate 10-12 Australian rivers!
3. All enormous way to 3000 miles is broken into THREE parts, on 1000 miles everyone. The replaceable structure of a team could change after passing of "OWN ONE Thousand miles". It, of course, doesn't mean that the wishing can't go though all way to 3000 miles to Sydney, simply from experience of the previous stages it is visible that beginners, who the first time in the high sea, onboard is "maintained" by about 1000 miles.

The participant of expedition plans in advance and reports to expedition Organizing committee - in what point it will sit down onboard wood ladya RUSSICH.
East Australian coast near the Great Barrier Reef is extremely developed. The public Coast Guards provide the maximum safety of passing of these waters! In any place (at suitable weather, certainly!) it is possible to stick to the coast without being afraid of any negative!
The crime here isn't present!
Approximate general time in a way: 45-50 days (for 18-20 days on each part) and 20-25 days (it is care of a constant line-up) are necessary on preparation of a wood ladya for descent before start, and also time for search of parking and castle lifting after the finish is required.

Exact date of start isn't declared yet: it is coordinated with all participants of a starting site from the port of Darwin to the island of Thursday.
If you want to participate in this starting exit, write rather, that the Organizing committee considered both your opinions and wishes! Roughly - the end of August, 2012!
Can quite be so that on start, near the port of Darwin, expedition will make a campaign to Daley's river is to the West. Such campaign will be made within the project On wood ladya RUSSICH on the rivers of Australia-2012, so:

On the Old Slavic castle "RUSICh" ROUND AUSTRALIA clockwise ” 2012
Route description
Season: since the end of August, 2012 the Old Slavic wood ladya "RUSSICH" plans to go from the port of Darwin to the island of Thursday (Torresov the passage) without strong head winds. There is a probability to run into hurricane, though probability absolutely small. At the adjusted reception of weather forecasts always it is possible to take cover in time in the tideway of the river or in a good bay. Since May head winds from the Pacific Ocean amplify, and start to abate only by September.
The beautiful idea to alternate sea transitions by the rivers and channels is realized, this idea is extremely good contrasts, rest after sea elements. And also it is unique possibility closely to adjoin to the nature and aboriginals of Australia, to see animal and flora, which not that that on the car, and even on foot! - you will not reach!!!
First part of a route:
Darwin port - port Gov - the island of Thursday (Torresov the passage) = 730 miles
On this way we will pass the Timor Sea, will cross the Arafura Sea and having passed the huge gulf Gulf of Carpentaria (really it is the sea!) let's enter in Torres the passage. This transition will differ from others big autonomy, there are no civil parking in yacht-clubs!
Only if necessary the ladya "RUSSICH" will come into the port Gov.
The rivers of the northern coast literally teem with crocodiles, wild birds and mosquitoes. It is possible to walk on one or several Australian rivers. Here the list of the main rivers from the port of Darwin to the Gulf of Carpentaria: South Alligator or East Alligator (away from our route), King (length from 10 to 25 miles), Liverpool (the interesting hilly district on coast), Glyde (the river long, about 70 miles), Woolen (about 20 miles).
The northern coast of Australia is still interesting by the wild nature, uninhabited bays and islands, and also remarkable fishing!
Second site of a route:
Torres the passage - the port Kearns = 510 miles along the Great Barrier Reef.
From Torres the passage and almost to the port Brisbane on more than one thousand miles along Australia the Great Barrier Reef (the biggest and beautiful underwater world on the Globe), the nature miracle, one of the most unique places in the world, the continuous area of national parks lasts. The reef a long wall protects coastal waters from powerful Pacific excitement and creates more or less quiet area for swimming in which such enormous quantity of islands and reeves, what to list them there is no possibility.
We will have surprising possibility to rise on an anchor near islands and reeves where we will want, to practice scuba diving and fishing, to land on islands at will.
Well, and actually, we will cross the Coral Sea.
Third site of a route:
Port of Kearns - Port of Townsville = 160 miles.
Port of Townsville - Port of Rokgemton = 390 miles.
Port of Rokgemtont - Port of Brisbane = 285 miles.
The river Fitzroy conducts to Rokgemton's port about 35 miles from an entrance.
Around Bundaberg we will enter into an extensive bay and we will go south under cover of the long island of Fraser, and then about 35 more miles the channel all also to the south, it is the area of national parks.
Under reaching Brisbane we will pass about 15 miles on the Pumicestone channel, it is delayed the North to the south (to us on the way), between the continent and Bribie island, further we enter into Moreton bay closed from all winds from the East by the long islands of Moreton and North Stradbroke. Also we will have a unique possibility to pass channels from the North to the south (too on the way) along North Stradbroke and South Stradbroke islands about 25 miles. In total near the port city Brisbane we will pass to the south out of the sea of the whole 70 miles!
It will be good rest for team and time overflowed with extraordinary impressions!
Fourth part of a route:
Brisbane port - Gold Coast - Newcastle port - Sydney port = 510 miles.
On this piece of a route it is possible to walk on one or several rivers: Hoksberi's river, near Sydney, the biggest of east coast, is navigable on 70 miles from an entrance, on her coast the big tourist city of Brooklyn and a number of national parks is located.
The river Macleay passes through Carrai and Oxley wild rivers national parks.
The river Clarence, despite total length of 240 miles! - it is possible to rise up by 60-80 miles. In SEVEN miles up down the river there is a movable bridge, in not dissolved condition height of its 8.5 m, think, we on a castle can pass at outflow (it is necessary to remove a mast and to pass - but NO PROBLEM for the brave mariners!!!).
TOTAL:
1 part of a way, from the port of Darwin to Kearns - 1235 miles + 10 % (on deviations from a route, tacks, drift) = 1360 miles. And on the rivers about 140 miles. In total - 1500 miles, terms - approximately from 20 to 25 days.
2 part of a way, from Kearns to Sydney - 1280 miles + 10 % = 1400 miles. And on the rivers more than 100 miles, and all channels between islands and the continent will be to us on the way. In total - 1500 miles, approximately from 18 to 25 days (it is the sea therefore terms can be appr.).
IN TOTAL more than 3000 nautical miles ROUND AUSTRALIA are planned for 2012
